Our Story
A restaurant built not on trends, but on tradition — and a belief that the finest meals are the ones shared with those you love.
Since 2003, Manos Bistro has held a cherished place in Bahrain’s dining scene. Over more than two decades, we have refined every detail of the experience we offer — not chasing what is fashionable, but honouring what is timeless.
Founders Mano and Rena began their journey in the restaurant world over 40 years ago in Zimbabwe — running kitchens in grand hotels, private golf clubs, and well-established Greek restaurants. Theirs was a life shaped by hospitality, precision, and an enduring love of bringing people together around a table.
In 2001, Mano and Rena relocated to Bahrain, and within two years, Manos Bistro was born. What followed was a restaurant that grew into something rare: a true institution. Generations of families have dined with us, celebrated milestones here, and returned again and again — because some places simply feel like home.
Today, that legacy is carried forward by the next generation. Mano and Rena’s three sons — Pavlos, Alexandros, and Andreas — now lead Manos Bistro with the same dedication to warmth, craft, and community that has always defined this family and this place.
Our Philosophy
We've created a business in family legacy, honesty, hard work, and a genuine welcome—carrying four generations from Africa, Greece, and the Middle East into today. Our mission is to welcome every guest like family, add value to our community, and create places where people genuinely connect. With warmth, crafting joyful, vibrant experiences while protecting a positive community for all. We carry our past with pride, adapt with purpose, spark joy in the present, and always put people—guests and our team—at the center.
